- introduction -

It all started from the concept of offering riders the possibility to be part of a Championship without having to deal
with astronomical expenses of the "professional" Championships.  The goal was also to be able to put on the
Starting Grid riders from different nations, to blend in all types of qualities, riding skills and give the possibility to
everyone to confront themself with other European riders.
We understood that the only way to achived this goal, was to unite forces from different organizers which would bring
their own riders.  Only so, we would be able to bring together riders from different nations, in every event.

So in 2009 Valentinos, Power Up and RO-SBK joined forces to create the EEC ( European Endurance Cup ) and
the ERC ( European Riders Cup for GP races) .
After the financial crisis, in 2010 only
Valentinos and Power Up continued to work together and decided to consolidate
all in one single Championship.    The ERC ( European Riders Cup )
This was thought for ENDURANCE races and for GP races in the SSP and SBK classes.

Riders with and without racing license can register to the ERC Championship.

As this Championship is thought for "non professional" riders, we implemented some rules and restrictions to
ensure that professional riders or ex-champions, would not come and take advantage of  our riders.

It is possible that a rider with a racing license,  might take part also to "professional" Championships, like
"Alpe Adria", etc..    Therefore Riders with a racing license can register to the ERC Championship, but only if they do
not fall in any of the categories listed in the Restriction-document .   In this document we have listed the positions
ranges in the standings for each "professional" championship we could think of, for which we do not allow registration
to the ERC Championship.
For eaxmple : a rider that follows also the Alpe Adria, if he is among the first 15 riders in the standings of Alpe Adria,
he will be able to take part to our events, but he will not be qualified for the ERC Championship
( please see the full list of standings ranges and professional championships )

We rely on the sportmanship and fairness of all riders registering with the ERC Championship.
